We build the software
we wish already existed

BlizL Labs is a small studio prototyping applied AI and building developer tools. We prototype fast, ship the ideas that hold up, and open source the rest.

01_prototypes

Most of what the studio builds starts here. A prototype earns its way into being a product only once it solves a problem we actually had.

04_about

A studio of one, run alongside a day job — the place where ideas that would not survive a roadmap get built anyway.

founder · engineer

Victor Liang is a software engineer at Google, working on on-device intelligence for Pixel. Before that came AR shopping across four product categories at Amazon and the Camera Kit AR Shopping SDK at Snap — more than eight years spent on the hard edge of consumer AI and augmented reality.

BlizL Labs is the studio he founded to bring his own ideas to life. It runs alongside the day job, not instead of it: a place to chase the things that sit where AI and AR meet on mobile, take them from prototype to product on his own terms, and open source whatever is more useful shared.

Games have been a constant since childhood. He grew up on Nintendo — Mario Kart, Fire Emblem, and long JRPG campaigns — before finding the competitive pull of Counter-Strike and League of Legends, and the strategy habit runs all the way to the board game Go, where he took third place at a tournament in Massachusetts back in high school. These days it is mostly single-player games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and the Octopath Traveler series.

He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and their son. When he is not working or taking care of the baby, he is usually squeezing in a quick game on his Steam Deck, watching the NBA, or planning the next family getaway.
